List of Little House on the Prairie episodes Wikipedia

little house on the prairie season 7

The newer Lionsgate remastered sets all contain English, French, and Spanish audio as well as English subtitles. They do not include the special features present on the earlier non-remastered releases, but rather seasons 1 through 6 each contain a roughly 15 minute segment of a special called "The Little House Phenomenon". Seasons 8 & 9 contain the three post-series movie specials as extras, with "Look Back to Yesterday" and "The Last Farewell" appearing on Season 8, and "Bless All The Dear Children" appearing on Season 9. None of the available releases of the series contain "The Little House Years", which was a three-hour Thanksgiving special aired during Season 6 that largely consisted of flashback clips.

Laura Ingalls Wilder: Part 1

When Mr. Edwards returns, Walnut Grove is placed under quarantine and Alicia, Mr. Edwards' daughter, becomes ill with the disease. Laura, unaware of the danger, visits the Edwards' home and helps nurse her friend back to health. When Christmas comes around, all the Ingalls are caught up in the secrecy and excitement. Christmas Day brings some surprises, and Carrie learns the meaning of Christmas.

Little House on the Prairie — Season 7, Episode 1

Notice the scene where the boys are throwing food at dinner, and Laura grabs them and takes them upstairs. When she first lunges at them, you can tell that Melissa Gilbert, who plays Laura, is laughing when she’s supposed to be furious. In the scene where Charles is trying desperately to feed a crying Grace, listen closely for when he says, “Come on, please eat. The word “Daddy” was never used on the show; it was always Pa, Papa, or Father. Calling your father “Dad” or “Daddy” was not a common practice during that time period.

Portrait of Love

The only person she can find to help her is Sam (Burl Ives), who is almost blind, but still able to find his way in the forest. Together, they manage to get Charles to Sam's cabin and then they go out to find medical help. Anticipating a bumper return from his wheat crop, Charles is devastated when a hail-storm flattens all the crops in the area. As a result, he has to travel away from home to find work and make some money, and meets up with Jack (Don Knight) and Jacob. Jack has a job as a powder monkey in a quarry, and enables Charles and Jacob to get work there too, where the hard and dangerous work is well paid. Meanwhile, with the men away, Caroline organizes the local wives and children to salvage what they can of the wheat, using only their manual labour.

Little House on the Prairie – Season 7, Episode 1

Solomon runs away and ends up hiding on the back of the wagon being ridden by Charles Ingalls (Michael Landon) and Dr.Hiram Baker (Kevin Hagen) to Walnut Grove. This is technically a two-part episode where there is a drought and Almanzo Wilder (Dean Butler) loses his crop and the land. Laura suggests she take a teaching position to help them earn money for a new farm, but Almanzo objects and postpones the wedding.

In denial, Charles does not tell his daughter until a few days before she wakes up and finds, to her horror, she is completely blind. Mary becomes bitter over her predicament and having to rely on others for basic needs. Meanwhile, Charles, Jonathan Garvey, and the rest of the town of Walnut Grove have another problem as the whole township is threatened by an escalation of a dispute between The Grange and the railroads. This prevents crops and other items from being sold and traded, and disables the bank, causing financial problems for the entire town. At the end of the episode, Charles drives Mary to the blind school where she will spend the next few months.

Season 7, Episode 2 – Laura Ingalls Wilder Pt. 2

The first three seasons of the old sets notably are also missing closed captioning. Laura and Almanzo's new house is completed and he has fully recovered his health. Then Mr. Edwards returns to Walnut Grove, but he hides that his marriage to Grace has failed because of his relapse into alcoholism. When he drunkenly causes an accident that nearly kills Albert, Charles angrily tells his old friend to leave town. However, Laura persuades him to stay, and he works on the farm with Almanzo and sobers up. But after more bad news, Mr. Edwards ends up in church where he prays and talks to Rev. Alden, who brings about a reconciliation with Charles.

Kim Richards Just Shocked Kyle with a New Update

little house on the prairie season 7

During the conversation, she shared how her daughters' bond is very different than the one she developed with her siblings,  Kathy Hilton and Kim Richards, as a child, mostly due to the choices her mom made while raising them. Comedian Ray Ellin remembers watching Little House on the Prairie from an early age and being captivated by the Ingalls family adventures in Walnut Grove. His love of the American western drama only grew stronger as a teenager into adulthood when the series landed in syndication.

The series also starred Mena Suvari, Cheyenne Jackson, and James Tupper. The answer, thank the TV gods, is generally no, our favorite programs didn’t always reek. Albert (Matthew Labyorteaux) takes a job as an apprentice for a woodworker Isaac Singerman (John Bleifer), a Jewish man who is the target of deep prejudice in the community. Charles and Albert return to Walnut Grove after Albert has repeated run-ins with the law for curfew violations and theft.

Soon, Albert and the others find football is not so much fun, and when Ellerbee's single-mindedness endangers Albert's well-being, Charles has to step in. Albert then decides that his priority is his studies and that for him football should be for fun. Pete grudgingly resigns to making football practice less severe, after nearly destroying his marriage and family life. Laura suggests she take the teaching position in Radnor to help them earn money for a new farm, but Almanzo still objects and postpones the wedding. The relationship of Eliza Jane and Harve seems to blossom, but when she tells him she loves him, he reveals he is in love with someone else.

A pack of starving dogs arrives at the Ingalls farm, where Mary is alone with the children. Townspeople rescue a mute boy whom a carnival owner has been using as an attraction. Mrs. Oleson's prejudice troubles a former circus dwarf who is trying to raise his daughter alone. The Carters buy the Ingalls' farm; Laura welcomes teacher Etta Plum and Almanzo's relatives.

The Poulsen family house is clearly the same house that the Oleson’s live in. It’s pretty obvious when they are eating in the dining room, but they really give it away when Eunice and Myra Louise are upstairs with Caroline showing her the dress that she can wear when she renews her vows with Charles. It’s clear as day that the same set is used for Nels and Harriet’s bedroom is used here also. At the end of the episode, the judge reveals that Mrs. Oleson has offered Mrs. Mills a job should she choose to live in Walnut Grove, and Dr. Baker will provide for the family for as long as they live there. It would seem that either Mrs. Mills chose not to take him up on the offer, or did so for a very limited (and non-visible) time. We never saw anyone else working for the Oleson’s beside Caroline and Hester Sue.

Charles and a friend, Jack Prescott, deliver some tables, hand-made by Charles, to a store in Minneapolis, for which Charles makes a few "as a hobby". After Jack dies suddenly of a heart attack on the return trip, and after which his farm is sold and his nameplate casually tossed into the kindling by the new owner, Charles decides he wants to do something to be remembered for. They arrive with Hester-Sue and join the family with Laura and Almanzo. Soon after, a fierce blizzard snows them in, and they all have to stay the night. Caroline, Almanzo, Laura and Hester-Sue recall Christmas memories from when they were children.

Kyle continued by revealing “some mistakes” her mom made by constantly comparing Kathy, Kim, and her to one other. Kyle insisted American Woman was a "love letter" to their mom and was not biographical. "If it was a real story about mom and us, I wouldn't have done it, but it wasn't," Kyle replied. "I liked the idea of something in the '70s and seeing a single mom and how they didn't know how to navigate, you know, without their husband."

He is forced to relent, however, when he is told that the leaders and businessmen of other nearby towns, having heard what happened in Walnut Grove, announce they will do the same thing. As Lassiter walks off in defeat, Reverend Alden loudly proclaims that Walnut Grove did not die in vain, prompting a huge celebration. Jason begins doing odd jobs for an aging woman, Ruthy Leland (Vera Miles). Sarah becomes jealous over the blossoming friendship, until Ruthy reveals her that she is dying. Hester-Sue's ex-husband, Sam Terhune, comes to Walnut Grove claiming he has reformed himself from his drinking and gambling and asking for a second chance with her. Although she is initially suspicious and cautious, Hester-Sue eventually gives in to her feeling that she still loves him, and it is not long before they plan to re-marry.

Little House on the Prairie: Season 7, Episode 15

little house on the prairie season 7

Subsequently, the shots of her running down the hill with her sisters were removed from the opening theme. When Laura announces that she is expecting a baby, Caroline says that she is also. Later, she finds out from Doc Baker that she is not expecting but is experiencing an early menopause and cannot have any more children. This devastates Caroline, who has tried to birth a surviving true male heir for Charles and fears she is worthless to him now because this is now impossible. Laura and Almanzo clash again over their different aspirations for their marriage, and this is aggravated when Laura comes to believe that Almanzo is having an affair with one of his former girlfriends, Brenda Sue. Laura returns to her family, saying she wants to leave Almanzo, and even picks a fight with Brenda Sue.

Little House on the Prairie – Season 7, Episode 15

However, when she wants her compliant husband elected as mayor, she encounters unexpected opposition from some of the town's oldest inhabitants. Almanzo grows more and more depressed after his stroke and refuses to perform his therapy, and even the birth of his daughter, Rose, doesn't help. Laura continues to clash with Eliza Jane, who wants them all to move to Minneapolis. Then Laura is injured when a tornado strikes, and she becomes angry when she discovers the calamitous effect upon their house. Seeing her anger, Almanzo is inspired to pitch in and help rebuild the house.

Season 7, Episode 9 – The In-laws

If an old friend walked up to you out of the blue after all that time, wouldn’t you be surprised to see them? The way Almanzo greeted her, you would have thought that he saw her every day of his life. The episode sees Todd Bridges of future Diff’rent Strokes fame guest star as Solomon Henry, an 11-year-old who is the first member of the family not born into slavery. Solomon tells his mother he wants to learn to read and write and go to school, which his mother (Maidie Norman) and brother (David Downing) explain isn’t realistic.

Season 7, Episode 1 – Laura Ingalls Wilder Pt. 1

Meanwhile, with Nellie's permission, Percival confronts his mother-in-law over her interference in their lives by her overprotectiveness of Nellie. The aftereffects caused her to go blind, and she was carrying Annie at the time of the sickness, who contracted them as well. While out fishing, Laura finds a bottle in the creek with a note inside that reads "Be my friend." She eventually persuades Charles to help her look for the writer of the note, but instead they find an abandoned baby. Laura looks after the baby, whom she names Grace, while Charles tries to find the parents.

In desperation, Charles pretends to have been injured in a gun accident, and Edwards has to walk out for help, shocking him back to his old, irascible self. Rev. Alden falls in love with a member of his congregation and marries her, but almost comes at a cost when Mrs. Oleson attempts to tear their relationship apart, distressing the Reverend to illness. With Jonathan as coach, Albert and the livery school's football team challenge the private academy's undefeated football team.

Kyle Says She Will Spend Christmas with Mauricio

A young orphan boy, Sam, stows away in their wagon and becomes a key player in the search and its happy outcome. Charles and Caroline visit Walnut Grove and are pleased to be able to stay in the 'Little House' when John and Sarah Carter go out of town. Then the townspeople learn that a land development tycoon, Nathan Lassiter (James Karen), has acquired title to all the land in Hero Township, which they had believed to be homesteading land. When Lassiter arrives to claim the town, he finds all the town buildings dynamited, and the townsfolk leave to start new lives elsewhere, as many of them have done before.

She introduces lessons in French and art appreciation, and also a dress code, to the consternation of most pupils and many parents. Albert organizes a class rebellion against the innovations, but Laura admonishes them and surprises Mrs. Oleson by speaking up in her favor. However, when the state official returns, he says the funding will only be provided if the new curriculum subjects are those Laura wanted, so Mrs. Oleson steps down and Laura is reinstated as the teacher. The school district's superintendent comes to Walnut Grove, looking for someone who can replace a teacher who has fallen and broken her leg. Eliza Jane recommends Laura, despite her being two weeks short of the minimum age of 16, and she passes her teacher's exam and is given her teacher's certificate and the position.

The show is typically stripped (run five days a week) in syndication, which is enough to completely cover a TV station's E/I requirements and more. At Almanzo's urging, Laura enters a writing contest and produces a novel about the Ingalls family, which Almanzo and Jenny love. After travelling with Jenny to Minneapolis, Laura learns that she has won the contest and she is offered the opportunity to have her novel published. She reluctantly agrees to changes which the publishers want to make, but Jenny convinces Laura that the new version is not as good as her original and should not be published.

Laura and Almanzo's daughter Rose is baptized and Mr. Edwards becomes her godfather. Doc Baker hires a highly qualified doctor named Caleb Ledoux, but is disconcerted to discover that he is black. Despite a friendly welcome from the Ingalls, other citizens are indifferent or openly hostile, while Doc Baker gives his new assistant only menial tasks.

Caroline responds to a plea for help from a childhood friend, Louisa Beckwith, by travelling with Doc Baker to a mining camp where there is an outbreak of influenza. This is a comedy episode, in which Nels is kidnapped by a pair of bumbling criminals who demand a $100 ransom, which Harriet refuses to pay. Nels then plots his own escape and his revenge upon Harriet, which gets out of hand when it leads to several other members of the community also being kidnapped.

Almanzo proposes to Laura, who accepts, but Charles insists that they should not marry until Laura is eighteen. Almanzo refuses to accept this, and tells Laura he plans to leave Walnut Grove and asks her to defy her father and go with him, but she refuses. The Olesons hire Percival Dalton to improve the operation of Nellie's failing restaurant and hotel but, even when it is temporarily renamed "Caroline's Restaurant and Hotel", Nellie stubbornly refuses to learn. Only when Percival tells her she is pretty does she soften and start to cooperate. However, as they return through Sleepy Eye, Laura spots an old courthouse building available for rent.

The family of an alcoholic rancher turns to houseguest Charles for attention. Before their first day of school, Laura and Mary worry other students won't accept them. Willie's mother reacts angrily to news of the 16-year-old's engagement. Mrs. Oleson's gossip column praises her family and infuriates her neighbors. Laura makes a joke about an overweight man, unaware he is her best friend's father.

In this episode, a lawyer visits to tell Charles that he is the heir to the massive estate of his late Uncle Ned, who owned the Ingalls Carriage Company, and a large house in St Louis. Charles and Caroline get carried away and run up a large debt at Oleson’s Mercantile. Eventually, Charles, while on a business trip to Sleepy Eye, discovers the truth about Danforth’s method. He performs a hustle from town to town, with the same three people in the audience pretending to need saving. Charles shows up at one of Danforth’s church services and reveals the truth.

The 10 Best Air Purifiers, According to Our Lab Tests

house air purifier

When planning for the installation of a whole-house air purification system, homeowners will want to account for additional costs and considerations that go beyond the initial purchase price of the unit. While not all of the following factors may be necessary, understanding how they influence air purifier prices can help homeowners avoid costly surprises. A whole-house air purifier can be configured to fit different homes and personal needs. With the average American spending 90% of their time indoors, it’s no wonder that the EPA calls indoor air pollution one of the top five environmental risks to public health. Portables can also be noisy because it takes a lot of wind to push air through such a fine filter.

EdenDirect 5-Speed White True HEPA Air Purifier (Covers: 4555-sq ft)

And it’s a tall, garish device that won’t blend into any decor outside of an Alien set. It’s sharp-looking, with a clean rectangular form and a muted, matte finish available in several colors. But at its typical price of $190, it’s too pricey for a machine made for spaces no larger than a bedroom.

Best Air Purifier for Pet Owners

Dan DiClerico has extensively tested and written about air purifiers for over 20 years. He has also spearheaded numerous investigative reports on the topic of indoor air quality, working closely with outside experts from government, industry and the home services spaces. In her former role as chief technologist and director of engineering at the Institute, Rachel helped develop the test protocol for this category. With regard to indoor air quality, she is a leading advocate for the adoption of rigorous industry standards. Rachel has also tested dozens of air purifiers in recent years at her home on Long Island, NY. For example, the much-hyped, sleek-looking IKEA Förnuftig can only capture 99.5% of smaller airborne particles.

Understanding Whole House Air Purifiers - Units vs Coverage

Through our air purifier testing, we've found that sometimes extra features can diminish the appeal of the product. However, we found the Bionaire BAP0041UVWH True HEPA 360-degree Air Purifier offered the perfect balance of effective air purification and thoughtful onboard features. While this air purifier was one of the louder models during our latest round of testing (when on its highest setting), it was very effective at reducing PM 2.5 and TVOC in our testing room. While we had a hard time discerning if the air purifier was even working on its silent (lowest) setting—props to the quiet operation—it did a great job of purifying the air in our testing room. We only noticed minimal lingering scents, but the haze from our incense had completely cleared. This model’s performance was also just as powerful, if not more on its highest level.

Molekule: Some of the worst air purifiers we’ve ever tested

If neither of those is a deal breaker for you, the Dyson Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde won’t disappoint when it comes to optimizing your home’s indoor air quality. While we loved the design and durability of the Levoit Core P350 Pet Care True HEPA Purifier, we weren't as impressed by its other features, and there was no app integration. Additionally, it was not as quick to remove dust, pet dander, airborne contaminants, and smoke.

Best Whole House Air Purifier: Our Top Picks

I appreciate it most whenever we cook, and the fumes and smoke fill up the living room (since our kitchen is windowless and relatively unventilated). Each time, the Sans blinks and signals an upward motion, telling us where the air impurities were. It has a HEPA 13 medical grade filter, which is said to remove 99.97% of air bacteria. It’s particularly amazing in winter, when the last thing you want to do is keep the windows open for the freezing cold air to clear everything out. Some companies try selling you additional extended warranty while some try to take your contact details for this.

Levoit Core P350 Pet Care True HEPA Purifier

As a general guideline, you need to go for a model whose coverage is a bit larger than your home’s real size to make sure you are making the most out of it. If you’re looking for a model with very wide coverage, we recommend you to choose the AIRMEGA 400. The only real issue with this otherwise wonderful machine is that it can get somewhat noisy, at least when compared to other purifiers. While its maximum dB level of 49 is not terribly loud on its own, it is more than double the amount of many other models. This helps to keep the device running as smoothly as possible since you won’t ever overuse a filter as long as you are paying attention to this easy to see indicator.

We also like that you have the option to use it with Wi-Fi to change settings and monitor it right from your phone. Plus, it features a mood light function, which turns the lights up or down depending on how much light is in the room. Not only did it remove contaminants from the air, but it also effectively removed odors within the testing time, leaving our area smelling fresher than before. On its highest setting, the noise is tolerable, and you can easily talk over it—although it might be too distracting to watch TV with it on. But, if you want to run it at night there is a whisper setting where it quietly cleans the air at a 30dB level, so it won’t disturb you while you sleep. Just remember, using an air purifier through the night will require more energy consumption, so this will increase the running costs.

Q&A: Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) System Filters and Furnace Filters

As is the case with the best fans and air conditioners, some air purifiers are quieter than others, producing more noise as their levels go up. Many product descriptions note, in decibels (dB), the sound produced by the purifier, and we've listed those in every product's key specifications so you can clearly see what kind of noise you're in for. While this model may seem intimidating with its number of filters and smart capabilities, like remote monitoring, we found it’s actually very easy to use. We appreciate that the protective plastic cover labels each of the indicator lights on the unit, so you’re familiar with the settings before removing the packaging. The filter cover panel also has a list of each of the filters on the inside with the order that they go in, so you never have to wonder which filter nests in the other. The Rabbit Air A3 Ultra Quiet Air Purifier ups the ante even more with a low decibel level (think, whisper-quiet) on all settings and an even larger coverage area than its predecessor.

If you want to monitor the air quality levels in your home or keep tabs on filter life, look for an air purifier that can be paired with an app. If you’re easily overstimulated by loud noises, consider an air purifier that has different modes so you can adjust the speed of the internal fan. Next, we evaluated the design of each air purifier, based on the build quality, aesthetics, design features, and footprint. We then used a decibel meter to record the noise levels of each air purifier on its highest and lowest setting and took note of how noisy it sounded to them, too.

In that test, we learned we had to run the machines on high to maintain meaningful purification. Both models achieved this, cutting the particulates by half or more in 50 minutes. Most air purifiers arrive with the filters installed—but they are also sealed in plastic wrappers. The HEPA filters should have an arrow or other marking to indicate the correct orientation.

To reduce the potential for additional costs, homeowners will want to make sure the path leading to their HVAC system is free of obstructions, including furniture and stored items. If you notice that filters appear heavily soiled when you replace them, you should consider changing them more frequently. Nature fills us with joy, and this project intends to allow this concept to propagate within urban environments. By creating stackable pots and frames that come together in a versatile system, El Idrissi hopes it will encourage users to grow almost anything within the urban areas and gardens they have access to.

On average, adding an electrical outlet costs between $150 and $350, with the final number depending on how difficult the installation is and whether any other electrical work is needed. Homeowners will want to consider this potential cost when budgeting for a whole-house air purifier. Ozone generators that are sold as air cleaners intentionally produce the gas ozone. No federal government agency has approved these devices for use in occupied spaces.

The model line comes in five different sizes that target rooms ranging from small (75 square feet) to extra large (500 square feet). Our previous pick (now out of stock) fell in the middle with a 465 square feet maximum coverage area. This large-sized model claims to clean the air as often as five times an hour and remove up to 99.97% of airborne particles, including viruses. While this rate is good for capturing allergens, it's not the smallest capture rate we've seen in our testing. "Note that there are no widely used performance rating systems for portable air cleaners or filters designed to remove gasses," says Tim Carroll, EPA spokesperson. "Activated carbon filters can be effective [for removing gasses], provided that there is a large amount of material used in the filter."

13 Best Air Purifiers for Clean Breathing 2024

The process of charging particles, called ionization, may produce trace amounts of ozone, a lung irritant. Electronic filters cost $600 to $1,000 installed and require a 120-volt electrical outlet. Such systems are passive; as long as the fan is running, they are constantly filtering all the air in your house.

Best Air Purifier for Large Spaces

Before proceeding with a HEPA filter installation, homeowners will want to consult an HVAC professional to assess the feasibility and costs of modifying their system. High-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters provide superior air filtration. However, they’re the most complex and costly to install compared to other types of filters.

Filter Replacement

HEPA filters can remove at least 99.97 percent of airborne particles like dust, bacteria, and pollen, and are the standard for air purification. To make things even easier, you don’t have to worry about figuring out what settings you should use, as there is an auto mode that will assess the air quality in the room and then automatically adjust the mode. The noise level on this unit is also low—it’s mostly white noise, which for the most part won’t bother you if you keep it on all day. For large kitchens, bedrooms, and dens up to 930 square feet, an air purifier like the Coway Airmega 250 makes perfect sense. Not only does this air purifier remove pollutants from the air, but it also features a sensor that’s able to self-adjust air purification levels throughout the day, so it doesn’t expend more energy than what’s necessary.

Types of Air Purifiers

A higher MERV value indicates that the filter will trap small particles more effectively than filters with a lower MERV value. This measures how effective an air filter works to prevent dust and other particles from passing through into the air stream. Another advantage to electronic filters is that they never need to be replaced.

Levoit Core 400S Smart True HEPA Air Purifier

It could even reduce the efficiency and the air quality of the purifier if not cleaned often enough. Most air purifiers come with reusable filters, so you can rinse them off in between replacements. Noise level aside, this purifier has three-stage filtration (including a HEPA filter), plus a digital interface that provides temperature and humidity updates in real-time.

Plus, the air purifier's night mode allows the unit to run at its quietest settings and even dims the screen so the light won't wake you. Everyday tasks like brushing your pet, leaving the windows open, spraying cleaners, and running a central HVAC system can contribute to poor air quality inside your house. Air purifiers can help minimize these symptoms by trapping airborne particles and removing them from the air you breathe. But it’s expensive, the filters last only six months, and replacements cost about $200. The 211i Max is a thrifty operator, drawing just 41 watts on its highest setting, and 18 and 11 respectively on the medium-high and medium-low settings where you’re more likely to run it during normal use.

I recommend the VEWIOR to those looking to combine air purification with aromatherapy. We all know that DIY carpet cleaning is better than nothing, but it certainly doesn't stack up when compared to the work of a professional who makes your carpet feel like new. With its easy-to-use functions, I would recommend this one to those who are looking for a straightforward model to get the job done. When allergy season hits, I can even check pollen data through the Vesync app and adjust the purifier accordingly to make up for sudden increases in pollen.

We noticed that we didn't have a runny or stuffy nose after using this air purifier in our home for a few months. If you want more detailed information about your home's air quality or a specific PM 2.5 reading, this air purifier may not be the right choice for you. It doesn't display an exact air quality reading, and there is no app for in-depth insights. But because of its higher energy consumption, it costs more to maintain than our current budget pick, the Clorox Medium room.

Tips For Selecting a Portable Air Cleaner, Furnace Filter, or HVAC Filter

Air purifiers can vary in filtration range, which is why it’s important to consider your room size. Most air purifiers have a maximum coverage area listed in square feet, so you can compare to your calculations to find an air purifier that is the best fit for your home. Finally, we received the price of the air purifier and scored its overall value based on both price and performance in our testing. Once our Lab testing was complete, we brought the top performing air purifiers home and followed up with feedback as to how well they held up after one, three, and six months of use.

Air pollutants are capable of increasing cases of sleep disorders such as snoring and reduce your sleep’s efficiency. In the long run, inadequate sleep or lack of can raise your risk of severe conditions like cardiovascular diseases. In case you are not getting adequate sleep, an air purifier can get rid of the pollutants that are possibly causing that. You might think that it is impossible to find a good purifier that isn’t going to cost you too much. While there are many quality models out there that are quite expensive, this purifier is not. Even though it is quite compact, it is still able to cover up to 360 square feet, which is more than enough for most rooms, which is a big plus.

Its unique catalytic filter combines with True HEPA filtration to vanquish contaminants down to .3 microns. It was one of the fastest models at reducing particulate matter in our test chamber. And beyond that, it even has humidifying and cooling capabilities to help keep spaces dry and comfortable too. Depending on the size of the room and how much space you have, you will likely also need to consider the air purifier's dimensions. The larger the room, the more space the air purifier will take up, so be sure to look at the size of the device you're considering to make sure you have space for it. You may also want to consider purchasing an air quality monitor in addition to an air purifier so you can make sure your air purifier isn't working too much or too little in your space.

During testing, our air monitor readings always showed significant improvement in quality post-purification, and we also noticed that the testing room smelled better as well, thanks to the carbon filter. Overall, we think that the high-quality True HEPA filter on this model paired with its performance and thoughtful interface makes it an excellent, affordable air purifier. Being able to see others worship and develop a relationship with the living God is one of my greatest joys. I am also privileged to mentor and teach young people how to lead worship and understand what worship really is with the goal that they will become worship leaders in the future. I have had the privilege of witnessing countless moments of transformation during worship where people find healing and a deeper connection in their relationship with our heavenly father.

A life-giving church in north Charlotte with a vision to build community, strengthen families and establish devoted followers of Christ. Hear from our some of our members on how they have been impacted by the community at Hope. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve been able to and hope to continue to be a church of real people looking to the real Jesus for real change. At their General Convention in uptown Charlotte Thursday, delegates from churches all over the world voted to allow different geographic regions to make their own rules about ministry. Called “regionalization,” it’s seen as a possible first step for Methodist congregations in the U.S. to remove long-standing bans on same-sex marriage and openly gay clergy. Pastor has traveled extensively international (4-6) four to six mission trips annually, leading Pastor Conferences, in Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, and Africa.

looking to the real Jesus

It is an attitude that we carry with us day by day, an attitude of genuine praise to God. It is fueled by corporate worship, the times we gather together. God has graciously continued to grow us as a community of people who are real with one another – real about our fears, our dreams, our failures, and our need for a redeemer. Every Sunday morning, the person and work of Jesus is preached with vulnerability and honesty.

Community groups are where we integrate new visitors,  grow in our faith, care for one another’s mercy needs, pray and grieve together. Having multiple congregations allows us to create smaller, more intimate communities while also effectively collaborating on our shared mission and vision. We hope to be a gospel movement that redemptively impacts individuals, communities, our city, and the world. As a result of the overflowing that is taking place both into and out of Hope, we feel that the Lord is calling us to take intentional steps to continue participating in this great Kingdom work.

CONGREGATIONAL CARE TEAM

To learn more about our plans for expanding Hope’s mission and vision and to learn how you can be part of that, please check out our Hope Overflowing initiative. Simply put…we don’t have all the flash/smoke/mirrors/performances that others have. We don’t have the best programs for children/youth/singles/adults/seniors that others have – and we don’t have the fanciest facilities that others have.

In Charlotte, United Methodists reorganize over LGBTQ bans

One of the first things you’ll notice about Hope when you visit (other than the age of the congregation) is how relational it is. We seek to be a church where you can belong even before you believe. To that end we strongly encourage you to check out our community groups. Hope was founded with a mission to reach the most unreached people group in the city of Charlotte – young, urban professionals. When we first started Hope 32.5% of young urban professionals claimed “no faith involvement” and 80% of males in their 20’s “hadn’t been to a church in over a year.” Those numbers have actually risen since then.

South End Congregation

Hello, I am Randy Hart and I have been blessed with the incredible privilege of serving as Worship Director here at Hope Church of Metrolina. My journey in this role has been filled with awe, gratitude and a deep sense of purpose. Growing up in Kannapolis Nc I was taught to play guitar at a young age by my grandfather. Later in my teenage years I had the privilege of playing guitar in a youth band and eventually leading worship in church services and in a Christian band. I have a desire to simply to lead others in the worship of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Hope Church exists for you to encounter God, experience hope, engage in mission, and excel in love. I am thankful and feel privileged to be part of such a community, and I hope that you will make plans to join us for worship. You also may be surprised by how honest we are about our struggles and doubts as believers.

Additionally, HOPE has developed a partnership with a mission in Mozambique & Uganda, Africa where he has lead (5) five separate summer mission trips. He’s a Pastor’s Pastor, working both locally and internationally to help support, love, encourage, sharpen other Pastors. Matt was born and raised in the small farming town of Mullins, SC.

God has used these two elements– Gospel Community and Gospel Preaching– to change people in remarkable ways. Outside of Sunday morning corporate worship, the main place this type of community is fostered is in our community groups. Community groups meet during the week, usually 3x per month, and are the heart and soul of where real change happens at Hope.

We believe that the Bible doesn’t merely contain the message of the Gospel but also reflects the methods God wants us to employ as we share it with others. One thing that’s easy to miss about the Bible is how vulnerable its writers are about their own struggles. Following their example, we seek to be a congregation of Real People Looking to the Real Jesus for Real Change. Watch this video to learn more about our plan to expand Hope's mission.

Worship at Hope is a lifestyle that is lived out in spirit and truth with every opportunity presented. Worship is offering all that I know of me to all that I know of Him. It reveals the inner heart and the recognized value that we place upon God in our lives.

Growing up, most of his time was spent playing sports or hunting with his dad and 2 brothers.
